‘Genmai’ tea has a nutty flavour. This particular ‘Genmai’ tea use roasted rice and ‘Macha’ tea (Powder tea which is used for tea ceremony), and ‘Sencha’ tea. Normally ‘Genmai’ tea is known as ‘cheap and cheerful’, but this careful combination makes for superior flavour. The on first pouring deep green colour comes from the ‘Macha’ tea powder.
